Villa Iris

The Villa Iris is situated at the heart of Pihaena in a tropical garden, between Moorea’s two bays in the north.

This vacation rental is composed of 2 distinct spaces:

• On the mountain side, a spacious gated house a covered parking.

• An extraordinary seaside area including a small beach accessible by crossing the little road in front of the villa.

On the first floor, this colonial-style house welcomes an air conditioned master bedroom with its bathroom, a living room including a kitchenette and opening onto a large covered terrace comfortably furnished viewing the tropical garden.

The property is not equipped with a TV.

The second floor welcomes the mezzanine bedroom featuring 4 single beds, and the third bedroom with a double bed and its bathroom.
Bedrooms n°2 and n°3 are also air conditioned for the comfort of the guests.

The Villa Iris pays tribute to its Polynesian roots with decorative exteriors created in temporal style, structuring and flooring made from exotic wood and warm colorful interior decoration.

Once you crossed the main road you will access to a private seaside area. It is a small relaxing area that looks like what you can find on the Tuamotu islands opening onto a small white sandy beach and especially onto a sandy lagoon where the fauna and flora are rich. On site a covered and shaded area is equipped with a dining table for meals by the water. Please note that there is no electricity on this area. Also we strongly not recommend our guests to stay there at night.

At your disposal an outdoor shower as well as two kayaks to explore the lagoon. No doubt that you will spend your days like Robinson Crusoe on the seaside admiring the bay and its magnificent sunsets. This is pure heaven.

Moorea Island is located 5 minutes from Tahiti by plane and 20-40 minutes by ferry. The island has a wide range of sea and land activities to offer, including tours of the lagoon and hiking. A car is necessary as there is no reliable public transportation on the island. Please contact us for more information.

" We really enjoyed our 2-week stay at Fare Iris. The house is a small and sweet plantation style with a lovely wrap-around porch. There were 6 adults at the house, and I think that is probably the max that would work. The garden is beautiful, with banana, palms, breadfruit, hibiscus, etc. The private beach, an easy walk from the house and across the main road, was a perfect place to relax, swim, and watch the spectacular sunsets.The location, on Opunohu Bay, is exquisite with unearthly views of the mountains. There is nothing else like it anywhere ! It isn't super close to a restaurant or market, but there is a very good one 10 minutes away in Paopao. A car is a must.
Our host was the famous artist and author, Maïre Vallaux-Bodereau. Such an honor !
